I was not part of the creation of these music videos. While my partner fully created these edits, I created another edit in hopes of having it be considered for the final production. I did not have any say on any of the decisions that were made regarding these music video edits. However, I do support them, and I believe that they were created to quite a high standard. I hope for them to improve on every edit but so far, she has made a good start. I hope to give her some feedback as soon as I get the chance. I also hope to maybe spend a lesson editing with her to see the techniques she uses and see how they differ from mine.

J Cole  – False Prophets - J Coles video for his song “False Prophets” is performed in a very informal way, basically walking through his day showing us, the viewers, a day in his life, in his neighborhood surrounded by everyday encounters. It's filmed in a loose, shaky way as if it were filmed by an amateur. At the beginning of this video the artist, J Cole, is sat on the seat of a bus stop watching out for the bus. The environment he is surrounded by seems familiar according to his calm and natural attitude. The cutaway shots between when Cole raps towards the camera show snippets of children playing, men sitting outside a corner shop, people we suppose he would see on a day to day walk in his neighborhood, we see him taking pictures with fans, standing to rapping outside a house that seems familiar to him. Planning: The Process of Picking Songs

In the process of my partner and I choosing a song to make our music video to we went through a lot of potential songs. We started off by listing all our favourite songs. after that we swapped list and chose our top three out of each list and narrowed it down from there.
